Central Drive-In

Took elp6n to her 1st ever drive-in movie last night. As usual, the food was outstanding, and the movies were good. $12 is a great deal for 2 adults to see 2 movies. Kicking and Screaming was the opener (which was fun for us seeing as how we had already seen that one, and had a couple of hours to...anyway, the second movie The Interpreter was a suspenseful movie that we both enjoyed). Drive-ins have become a thing of the past, and it is cool that we still have one here in Bucksnort.

We try to go 2-3 times a year. I just wish they would do a little bit in the way of lighting. My wife broke her ankle there about 5 years ago while walking to the bathroom. There was a huge hole in the ground along the path to the bathroom. I think it is still there.

Nothing better than paying so little for two newer films. We usually pack a cooler with beverages and make a stop at Subway or Little Caesar's on the way.

Took the boys to see a couple of flicks up there a few years ago and it was a great experience, except that it had just rained and a massive fog bank rolled in, pretty much ruining the view.

I always enjoyed going to the Moonlight in Abingdon. Wheres the one at that you all are talkin about?

Blackwood, right outside of Appalachia.

Yeah, they did away with the speakers you put on your window. Ah, the memories of the Central Drive in. First place I ever saw Star Wars.

Yeah, it is between Norton and Appy. About 10 minutes outside Norton
